SOCCER COACH VISITS DOVER COUNTY SCHOOL

Mr. Len Graham, the well-known former Millwall captain, who has been appointed to instruct the Kent Secondary Schoolboys in football, under the scheme promoted by the Football Association, gave his first lesson at the Dover County School on Wednesday afternoon to a good number of interested boy footballers. Wally Hardinge, the ex-Kent cricketer and Arsenal and England International footballer, was originally appointed as the Kent coach, but he gave up the position almost immediately to become assistant manager of Spurs. He was succeeded by Syd Puddefoot, the former West Ham United forward, but he, too, relinquished the post and became manager to Northampton Town recently. Mr. Graham has been appointed recently in his place. He gave the boys an interesting and instructive talk in the school early in the afternoon, and afterwards gave them ball practice on the School ground. He explained and demonstrated clearly the correct and incorrect ways of heading, trapping, breasting the ball and throwing in, and after each demonstration gave members of the school team practice. The boys followed his instructions carefully, and in a very promising manner, and should most certainly benefit by the lesson. Mr. Graham will give two more lessons to the County School boys before the end of the season.
