The Department for Education are working with Kier Construction and Dover Grammar School for Boys to deliver a much needed new teaching facility fit for the 21st century. The ethos is to provide a high quality teaching and learning environment which will secure the schools long term future at the site.
In January 2019, the project team started work on the wider strategy for the development, to identify the key site issues and define a preferred location for new teaching accommodation. In February 2019 a public consultation was held to present the findings of this preliminary work and to gather views and feedback from residents and other local stakeholders.
Over the last four months, a programme of design development has been undertaken. Feedback received from this initial consultation has been used to inform the design development of the scheme.
