CCF AT RAF WATERBEACH 1959

Aeroplane = Gloucester Javelin (Mk.8) (Mk7)
“I’ve just come across the photo of your school’s CCF unit taken at RAF Waterbeach in April 1959. May I add to and correct the caption. The Gloucester Javelin aircraft shown (XH911/G) is in fact a FAW Mk7 not Mk8 as indicated. The aircraft was on charge of 25 Squadron based at RAF Waterbeach at the date of the photo. This particular aircraft was delivered new to the squadron on 4/2/1959 and disposed of 4/1/1960.
