5. Membership Application
a. Online Membership Application: Users can become members of the Old Pharosians’ Association by joining the association online, by completing the membership application form on the Site. By doing so, you agree to provide accurate and current information during the application process.
6. Membership and Communication
a. Communication Preferences: By becoming a member, you consent to receive information from the Old Pharosians’ Association via post and/or email. You can manage your communication preferences in your account settings.

7. Donations and Charity Gift Aid Declaration
a. Online Donations: New members have the option to make a donation via their own bank or through an external website. During this process, they may also make a “Charity Gift Aid Declaration” online.
b. Charity Gift Aid Declaration: By making an online donation, new members may choose to make a “Charity Gift Aid Declaration,” allowing the Old Pharosians’ Association to claim Gift Aid on their donation. This declaration confirms that they are a UK taxpayer and have paid sufficient tax to cover the Gift Aid claimed by the charity.
c. Regular Donations by PDF Form: Members also have the option to make regular donations to the association by printing off and filling out a donation form available on the website as a PDF document.
d. Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that they have paid enough tax to cover the Gift Aid claimed on their donation. For more information about Gift Aid and eligibility, please refer to the Gift Aid advice on the UK Govetnment website.
8. Facebook Feed Display
a. Associated Facebook Page: The Site may display a feed from an associated Facebook page related to the Old Pharosians’ Association. This feed is provided for informational purposes only and is subject to the terms and conditions of Facebook.
b. No Posting or Amendments: Users are not able to post directly on the Facebook feed displayed on the Site or make amendments to Facebook content through the Site. For Facebook interactions, users should refer to the official Facebook platform.
